Enjoyed the chance to sit down with Bloomberg Bloomberg Technology reporter Todd Shields and discuss the FCC’s work + some of the reforms I’m pushing for.

Thanks for including me on your 2024 list:

Devices from smartphones to baby monitors can’t be used in the U.S. without a certification from a lab recognized by the FCC.

We’re increasingly asking those labs to vet devices for compliance with FCC national security decisions.

Hundreds of these labs are in China & many are…

Great to work with the The FCC Chair on our latest move to secure U.S. communications networks.

We’ve taken immediate action on a Huawei lab.

And we’re proposing to prohibit untrustworthy labs - including ones allied with the CCP - from certifying devices for use in the U.S.

I went to Columbia University last night and expressed my thanks to the NYPD for their efforts to restore law and order.

Everyone here has the right to express their viewpoints, however vile.

Yet many here crossed the line from free speech into unlawful conduct.

At Columbia University tonight, I’m hearing the loud and repeated invocation of the genocidal call “from the river to the sea.”

Grateful to the NYPD for their efforts to restore law and order

Great job by @brendancarrfcc on the scene at Columbia on NewsNation showing support for the NYPD and explaining the difference between unlawful conduct and First Amendment-protected speech.

Great to spend time today in NYC with the FCC team that works at our agency field office.

This talented group of engineers and professionals play an important role in ensuring that public safety communications stay up and running around the Big Apple.

The FCC just voted 3-2 in favor of President Biden’s plan for increasing government control of the Internet.

It’s an unlawful power grab sold in the name of “net neutrality.”

I delivered this statement in opposition:

The FCC is voting now on President Biden’s plan to further increase government control of the Internet.

I will be opposing it here:

This is the regulatory equivalent of a bad Groundhog Day remake.

The FCC is voting once again to impose government controls on the Internet - even though activists assured us in 2017 that the Internet would end without them.

It will be up to the courts to block the power grab.

Another request for the FCC to go after Elon Musk. I oppose it.

This filing is procedurally improper & substantively meritless.

But that’s not surprising. Activists don’t want the government to apply the law to Musk, they want it to break the law by weaponizing it against him.
