Further to our earlier post regarding the closure on the M65, we can now update you that the motorway has reopened.

We want to make you aware of an RTC thats happened on Blackburn Road Darwen which is currently causing traffic delays into Blackburn Town Center. Thankfully, no one has been injured, but until we can move the vehicles we ask people avoid the area and make alternative arrangements

Officers are on scene dealing with a road traffic collision on York Road near the junction of Rishton Road and Parsonage Reservoir. The road has been closed at the location. Please plan your route to avoid the area. We will keep you updated.

As a result of enquiries NPT Officers have seized 3 vehicles tonight.

2 of which were uninsured. 1 with cloned plates, and the third decided to hit the gas and fail to stop. However conveniently this was located moments later outside of the drivers address and was seized.

Your BwD TaskForce team have today executed a drugs warrant in the Audley area, where we seized a quantity of cannabis and cash. A 38-year-old male from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion drug offences, and interviewed and released whilst we send the case to CPS.

🚔 On Monday we stopped a black Audi A6 on the M65 at Darwen and found £9,000 cash, with £3,500 cash found at the driver’s home address.
💰 The driver, a 36 year old man from Nelson, was arrested on suspicion of money laundering. He has since been released under investigation.
