Jesus Campos, a construction worker who knows the crew, said the men were from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico. They are in their 30s and 40s and have spouses and children.

Fourteen years ago today, I signed the Affordable Care Act into law.

Afterwards, one Republican member of the House called the ACA the “most dangerous piece of legislation ever passed in Congress.” Another predicted the country would “never recover from it.”

Ms. Lula Wright, age 87, lived a rich & vivacious life. She refused to sit by idly & cherished her sacred right to vote. She had a sharp wit & a tender heart. One year she told me to write down the qualities I wanted in a man, put in a Bible, & pray. Rest in power, Ms. Wright. ♥️

Three years ago a horrific act of violence rocked the AAPI community, taking the lives of eight people, including six AAPI women. They were grandmothers, mothers, wives — they were humans. Today & every day we grieve and honor their lives.

A somber day yesterday as the #AAPI Caucus stood with community leaders to commemorate the March 16th, 2021 spa shootings in metro ATL.

May our memories of those taken too soon be a blessing, and may the injustice of these losses continue to fuel the change we need to see.
