Autumnal view of Knaresborough viaduct. It originally collapsed just before completion eventually opening in 1851. It was hated by Pevsner and apparently loved by J B Priestly. It was built by for the Leeds & Thirsk Railway.

The Aaben, independent arts cinema, Hulme, Manchester. Spent much time there in my late teens. It opened in 1928 as the York Cinema, on York Street. Closed 1967, briefly became a bingo club, reopened as a four-screen cinema 1969-91. Demolished 1993.
