So yesterday a thing happened! I pride myself on being prepared for my legislative meetings. But I was NOT prepared to be elected, by a unanimous vote, the Chair of the Brown v. Board of Education Committee. Walked in Senator Williams Graves and walked out Madame Chair ☺️.

Doing Good Work on Your Behalf! $2M in the budget and $500k from Congress! I’d call this a win-win!

First I am honored to have been elected Chair of the Brown v. Board of Education Scholarship Committee. In our first meeting we were able to make awards to those directly impacted by Massive Resistance & their descendants. I look forward to doing more good work on this front.

Saturday evening ended with a spectacular event celebrating New Calvary Baptist Church’s 90th anniversary. It was my honor to present a Commending Resolution from the Senate and House of Delegates to honor their service to the Kingdom, legacy and community leadership.

THANK YOU to everyone who supported our 3rd Annual HERstory Brunch on Saturday.  My heart is still full.  We left inspired to be walking examples of our faith in the workplace.

And guess what? Glenn Youngkin wants to keep giving our tax breaks to hate organizations like the Daughters of the Confederacy. Delegate Alex Q. Askew and I will be back. He will be gone! It’s just a matter of time 😉

Just got a call that Glenn Youngkin is vetoing my bill with Delegate Phil Hernandez that kept weapons out of hospitals. DISGRACEFUL! It may take two more years but he will be gone and we will still be here to bring it back!
