Tonight was one of my faves! Board games night!♟️🃏🎲 The girls had a great time playing some new games with their friends, working in teams and teaching Snowy owl how to lose to 9 year olds gracefully🦉👀😂

Tonight we went for a St George’s quiz, thanks to the Scouts website for its assistance! 😊We also made some knight’s shield Jammy dodgers and played a game of dragon dodge ball! Girls had a great time and Snowy owl needs no excuse to get her England bunting out 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿!🦉⚽️

This evening we were celebrating #internationalnursesday and Florence Nightingales birthday! A week early as it’s BH next week, but we played medical bingo(more fun than it sounds 😂) the girls enjoyed learning about medicine (the gorier the better it seemed!) and making lamps 😊

Tonight we braved the elements and went on a walk to the retail park to get some seeds and pots for planting next week! 🌱we also did a scavenger hunt en route and then treated the girls to a well earned McFlurry before home time 🍦zero complaints this end! 🦉

Today we made some cards to honour King Charles official birthday next week, which Snowy🦉has promised to send to The Royal Family.The girls are excited at the prospect of getting a reply!👑We then played some trooping the colour inspired games,parachutes+tug of war particular faves!

This week sees the start of Wimbledon so the girls enjoyed some tennis themed activities on the field, practising rallies, “keepy uppy “competitions with the ball and rackets (winning score 42!) and rounding off the evening with some strawberries and cream!🍓It was ‘Ace!’ 🎾😉

Yesterday was National Chocolate Day and it was only right we dedicated tonight’s meeting in its honour! 😂🍫hot chocolates, s’mores over tea lights, a tasting challenge (snowy owls favourite!) and chocolate based games-not sure the parents were as happy as the girls 🤪😂🍫🍫🍫

A lovely way to start a Sunday! #bookbuddies at Shropshire Cat Rescue, a bit of reading to the moggies and then some cake in the sun! Looking forward to the next one ☺️🐈‍⬛ 📕

It was lovely to have the girls back this evening for a new (and last 😢) term- started off with summer holiday tales, followed by some card games and then designing the Girlguiding Midlands new festive badge and Xmas card! ‘Dwayne Johnson’ as the name for the penguin though?😂🤷🏼‍♀️

It was a fun one this evening!! Making the most of the remaining lighter evenings, the girls enjoyed some gardening in our outdoor space and den building (sleeping!) 🪵 🏕️

We went exploring this evening, looking for pine cones to make some bird feeders! The girls weren’t a fan of getting their fingers sticky in the lard, but loved getting out and about and exploring ☺️🪵 🦜

It’s #NationalPoetryDay on Thursday and this evening the girls learnt about some different poetry styles, including Acrostic, limericks and Shape poems- it was lovely to watch their creativity flowing and read their work at the end!📝

I’m so pleased, this arrived yesterday! The girls are going to be very excited they received a letter from The Royal Family when I show them at tomorrow’s meeting! 🤴🇬🇧
