Giorgio Carra from KU Leuven presented the development of the TB-AI software and its use for advanced analytics for management of traumatic brain injury.

Prof Martin Schuhmann from the University of Tübingen shared the comparisons of transorbital point-of-care ultrasound techniques with ophthalmoscopic findings for the detection of raised ICP in children.

Cassi Rubin and Claudia Smith from African Brain Child at the University of Cape Town presented on high frequency ICP analysis and PRx as a strong association with severe pediatric traumatic brain injury, using some of the largest sample size groups to date.

Prof Thomas Heldt from MIT highlighted the role of engineers within the realm of neuromonitoring and how technology serves the needs of treating the injured brain, along with future opportunities.

Rentia Lourens from African Brain Child at the University of Cape Town shared the use of a CSF-MD method to gain high frequency neuropharmacokinetics. #icp2022

On Tuesday we hosted a round table discussion that highlighted why it’s so important for neurosurgeons, engineers, neuroscientists, data scientists and industry to be in collaboration to answer the big questions we have in neuromonitoring #icp2022

Prof Nicole O’Brien from The Ohio State University presented her incredible work on the use of transcranial doppler (TCD) ultrasound in 6 centers within sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in children with meningitis and malaria.

Fantastic talk by @DrSmielewski from @BrainPhysics who highlighted the role of data scientists and how to make sense of the exponential data we collect in clinical environments. #icp2022 #CapeTown
