Together with IOM Nigeria, UNICEF Nigeria and EU in Nigeria 🇪🇺🇳🇬, we are continuing to work with conflict impacted communities in the north-east to provide platforms for reconciliation as a foundation for social cohesion, peace and development in the region.

Peaceday🕊 serves as a reminder to advocate and promote long-term peace in our society. To mark this #PeaceDay2023, we co-hosted a seminar in Borno State with Peace Ambassadors Centre on the critical activities to take to achieve peace & the key role of youth in the peace process.

This week, we were honoured to have the Ambassador of the 🇳🇱 to 🇳🇬, Mr. Wouter Willem, alongside delegations from Germany in Nigeria & EU in Nigeria 🇪🇺🇳🇬, in Borno State. Their mission began with a visit to Hajj Camp in Maiduguri to learn about our reintegration efforts in the region.


Through #PartnersAtCore, our stabilization efforts are helping conflict-affected communities in NE 🇳🇬 return to normalcy. The delegation led by 🇳🇱 Amb. to 🇳🇬, Wouter Plomp visited Ngala, to witness how lives are being transformed through sustainable, people-centered approaches.


Empowering women with livelihood opportunities is vital for peace in conflict-affected communities. In Borno State, United Nations Peacebuilding fund project is equipping 600 women with business skills & start-up kits—boosting economic independence, reintegration, & community resilience.
