That moment when your friend (Christopher Skinner) posts something funny (this) but also too real and you immediately feel the sword of Damocles hanging over your head, anxiety spiking.

No? Just me? Cool… neat.

Stop saying “broke the Internet.” No, your favorite artist, streamer, product drop, whatever did not nor cannot break the Internet.

Now that the Chicago Manual of Style no longer requires place of publication, shall we just call it the Manual of Style?

'The past is gone; and the truth of what is past lies in our own judgment, not in the past event itself.' - Augustine of Hippo, Contra Faustum 26.5

When I found out Fortress Press had an incredible sale on select volumes of the Hermeneia commentary series, I couldn’t help but grab a few I was missing from the series. These volumes (and a couple others I already owned) are still on sale for 75% off!

My friend Andrew Mark Henry does it again. With (western) Easter approaching, this is an excellent video on the so-called garden tomb in Jerusalem, touching on the nature and history of the primarily protestant religious tourism there. Well done! youtu.be/roFibfO0B4s?si…

Thank you to my friend D. Clint Burnett & to Eerdmans Publishing for sending me a review copy of his new book! Two people with the same name (Clint’s first name is David) working on Paul at the same time lol! Looking forward to making my way through this one.

Since I was invited to give a response paper this year, I did not submit a paper proposal of my own for the 2024 annual meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature. Having done multiple papers before, it’s just not fun. Now I can actually enjoy the conference this year.

When I saw Ariel Sabar tackling the controversy and story of Morton Smith and the so-called Secret Mark, I couldn't wait to read his article. It did not disappoint.

I absolutely loved Dune Part 2. Outstanding. My friend Dr. Laura Robinson wrote an excellent review with a few misgivings regarding Villeneuve's adaptation of the women of the book. *SPOILER ALERT! Don't read the review until you've actually seen the film!*
