Our youngest (in the hat) is starting an internship this summer with CaterpillarInc so he will be living with his brother during the week. Jessie and I are probationary empty-nesters for the first time in 22 years. Bittersweet 🎭

A month or so ago my Mom would text me every day to say that she loved me. I thought it odd at the time but now I realize she was making sure I knew because the time was coming soon when she would no longer recognize me 😢

So proud of these two. They both earned straight A’s last semester (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) and started paid internships with Caterpillar this week (it will be Ian’s second year with Cat) They are a two years apart but they will each graduate next May. 🥰
