During their first week of groundworker training, these apprentices have been learning about excavation. They have broken out old tarmac, during excavations they have used the C.A.T & Genny to locate underground services & progressed to backfilling & reinstating tarmac services.

This week the Highways apprentices have undertaken a full scenario of training, which has included cable detection & avoidance, excavations & reinstatements of subbases, iron works, bedding channel block, kerbs, & tarmac surface layers. Well done everyone. #apprenticeships
