Rachel Teater, @KirstyAMcDonald & Emily Matijevich from @Vandy_BATLab tell us what biomechanics is…science, math, engineering & FUN for ISBS National Biomechanics Day 2-minute-tweet competition. Retweet your favorite video from the ISBS page! youtube.com/watch?v=NK7oI3…

Excited for day 1 of ISB-ASB 2019! Including two #prosthetics presentations from our lab members Rachel Teater & David Ziemnicki 1/3

Enjoyed sharing our research progress at ISB-ASB 2019 yesterday and the discussion continues today! Stop by poster 1217 this afternoon to chat with us about results from adding a toe-joint to a passive prosthesis. @KirstyAMcDonald and I will be there 4-5pm!

Curious why the phrase “What makes you think that?” has been so important during my Women in Sports Tech fellowship with Brooks Running? Read more in my blog post! #wearables #running #WiSTFellow Women in Sports Tech, Inc (WiST) Brooks Running 💙 medium.com/@em.matijevich…

Happy National National Biomechanics Day! We've been busy over the past year doing all kinds of #biomechanics research! This project, led by David Ziemnicki, uses a motorized #prosthesis & lightweight #exoskeleton to compensate for missing muscle groups in transtibial prosthesis users!

Happy National National Biomechanics Day! For us in CREATe, #biomechanics is studying human movement & musculoskeletal loads so we can design better #wearables, #exoskeletons & #exosuits to support & protect workers in physically demanding jobs. Research led by Emily Matijevich! #NBD2020

In the past year #biomechanics in our lab has even involved intentionally tripping the Dean of the School of Engineering Philippe Fauchet using the custom obstacle perturbation system developed by Maura Eveld & Shane King! #NBD2020 National Biomechanics Day VU Engineering Vanderbilt University

Happy National National Biomechanics Day! We wish we were in person showing off our research on #prostheses, #exoskeletons, #wearables, & more (like the 2019 NBD pics below), but thankfully we’ve been able to virtually share our love of #biomechanics with fellow Nashvillians! #NBD2021 1/7

What an awesome application of motion capture tech & exoskeletons! Karl Zelik, I think it's time the lab starts getting into archery... youtube.com/watch?v=1MkrNV… (stuffmadehere keep coming up with the awesome work!)

My Twitter skills pale in comparison to Karl Zelik so I'll just quote tweet his excellent thread describing our work on a novel #prosthetic emulator to explore the effects of various soleus & gastrocnemius behaviors on prosthesis users (it's also my 1st first-author publication!)
