I mostly stopped using voice-to-text because speaking doesn’t let me think as well. Speaking makes it easier to commit to your first thought. Writing lets you wrestle with it until it’s worth saying.

Until today, Claude Code has been absolutely crushing every task I've given it. Now it seems it can't put anything together without tons of hand-holding. I'm using Opus 4.6 in big brain mode.

Something was definitely up with Claude Code that day. It doesn't appear to be the case now. I threw away all the code and started from scratch (something I seldom did when I wrote code by hand). The process was much, much smoother.

I want to read more essays and watch fewer videos. So much of video content is visual fluff. Serious thinking lives in writing. I’m looking for those who don’t just write about the hows and whys of AI, but wrestle with the oughts. Who out there is writing about AI like this?
