A Davidson County jury recently found 60-year-old Roger McElroy GUILTY for the death of Steven Toth and injuries to MNPD officer Benjamin Cantrell. McElroy had marijuana and drugs in him before the 2020 crash in north Nashville. Sentencing is September 17th.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. District Attorney staff are wearing purple to show support for victims and survivors. Together, we are working to stop the violence and end the cycle of domestic abuse.

We are proud & honored to celebrate Susan Tucker-Smith, a domestic violence victim witness coordinator in the Nashville DA’s office for 27 years. Susan has been awarded the ‘Hope Hero Award’ by the city for her tireless work assisting DV families.

Congratulations to our Crimes Against Children Prosecution Team for securing a jury verdict this week of GUILTY on all counts against a Child Sex Offender. ADA’s Jeff George, Matt Thomas, VWC Cora Townsend, and Investigator David Zoccola brought Justice to a hurting family.
