Hutchinsons Bayer Crop Science UK KWS UK Ltd British Sugar. Conviso 1 herbicide starting to work on a crop of Smart Rixta KWS sugar beet at Hilgay, Norfolk.
Hutchinsons KWS UK Ltd ADM Agriculture Ltd. A wonderful looking crop of KWS Ultimatum (Group 2) wheat growing at Terrington Marsh, Norfolk as a seed crop. It looks a lot cleaner than some varieties that Septoria has hit hard regardless of chemistry applied!
Hutchinsons @LSPBLtd Dalton Seeds. A cracking looking crop of Bluetime peas at Hilgay, Norfolk. Now about to receive another 2.0 litre manganese 15% to keep them going.
Hutchinsons RAGT Seeds UK. 22 hectares RGT Grouse growing as seed crop for Dalton Seeds at Terrington St Clement. I didn’t rate it in February/March but it has surprised me by how it looks now! BYDV resistant variety so could be useful in aphid hotspots
Hutchinsons. This wheat at Tydd Fen on the Cambs/Lincs border is beginning to show signs of drought stress. The flag leaves are starting to roll up and with no amount of rain forecast, it will only get worse! Only 6mm fell here Sunday to Tuesday!
Hutchinsons GreenvaleAP. 2 different cover crops at Friday Bridge, Cambs. One is Solanum Scabrum, a crop grown to effectively fool potato cyst nematodes into thinking they can use it to multiply without success. The other is Maxi Cover, a nutrient balancer.
STOLEN from a field in Barnby, Suffolk, our much beloved Hyundai 55-3 six-ton digger. Please share, and report any leads here! Very distinctive, lime green with a red patch on dipper arm. Suffolk Police
Hutchinsons Hello World! KWS UK Ltd Zealum starting to emerge at Marshland St James. Norfolk. Farmer grows all soft wheat, mostly for own delivery into Heygates biscuit mill at Downham Market. This is a new variety here this season.
Hutchinsons. Not ideal to be travelling across soft soil but we need to try to prevent blackgrass & BL weeds becoming established. The wheat is just about to emerge so it’s a ‘just-in-time’ application. Ideally it should have been sprayed within 48 hours of drilling!
Hutchinsons KWS UK Ltd Saxon Agriculture. 8 hectares KWS Parkin growing as a seed crop at Littleport for Saxon Agriculture. It follows onions. I wish all the wheat in my care looked as good as this!
Hutchinsons. Today is referred to as Blue Monday, supposedly a depressing day but not here in the Fens! The sky is a clear blue and this November drilled wheat after barley is slowly growing. It will not be long until it receives a dose of N+S to kick it on?
Hutchinsons Hill Court Farm. Out getting on with Nitrogen core sampling today. Soil nitrogen levels are better measured than guessed!
Hutchinsons Origin Fertilisers British Sugar. Customer at Methwold Hythe, Norfolk applying a blend of P,K, MgO and Na2O to his field in preparation for a 2024 sugar beet crop. Wissington beet factory in background steaming away processing 2023 crop!
Hutchinsons British Sugar I have never seen pigeons attack sugar beet leaves as much as they have this year. Is it because the pigeon population has exploded or a lack of alternative food sources or another reason?
Hutchinsons KWS UK Ltd. This KWS Zealum looks really good following application of 220Kg/ha nitrogen (3rd wheat) and 3 fungicides. Farmer hopes it will yield 10 tonnes ha and be acceptable to Heygates at Downham Market with whom he has a good relationship.
