Looking west from Wilshire in Santa Monica at ~4:30. No flames visible, but charred hillsides and smoke as far as the eye can see

Doing full PPF on my BMW i3S. Not cheap, but it's LA, and I'd like to stop worrying about door dings and rock chips on a daily-driver I want to keep forever. There will still be some wear-and tear, but I'm pumped to put lots of city-miles on one of the greatest city-cars ever.

Not typically a big window-tint guy, but that σT⁓ was getting pretty unbearable through those stock windows. Not having to crank on the compressor isn’t gonna gain me a ton of range, but it’s nonzero, so between that and comfort, it was a no-brainer.

It's been 9 years since my first-ever Moab Easter Jeep Safari build, #projectswisscheese. I paid $600 for this Beater With A Heater. A junkyard lift; some 31s; and a ton of tough, rusty maintenance turned this thing into an off-road beast. And thus, my writing career began.

I’ve owned this i3S for about a year, and it remains the best commuter car I’ve ever driven. Yes, I write the same tweet every couple of months, but that’s what obsession is.

Here’s how often I use my BMW i3’s range extender: pretty much never. And yet, I’d never buy an i3 without one. This is the beauty of the EREV. It gets people who don’t want a full BEV driving electric basically 99.9% of the time, while preserving precious battery resources.
