Congrats, John, for topping the poll! He will be a real local champion for Cromarty-Firth. Thanks to the team for their hard work and to everyone who got involved, however they voted. It was a positive campaign. Congratulations also to Sinclair Coghill on his election.

Best of luck, Neil. You are running a great campaign and it's showing. People were certainly pleased to hear from a fresh voice today.

County kept Celtic quiet for long spells in Dingwall today. You just feel Celtic got away with it, but they are some team. Hard to see yet more late goals, but defensive displays are only getting better. Iv seen plenty that suggests County have it in them to grind out results🤞

The ScotGovt might want to frame this as good news, but in reality it is confirmation of yet another delay to the dualling of the A9. They are making it hard to be reassured that the 2035 target will be met.

"I know only too well the challenges that individuals and families have to face when our health lets us down. My husband had a brain haemorrhage in 2006, which changed our lives in an instant. I became his full time carer." Susan Murray MP 🔶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🐝 gives her maiden speech

I've tabled an EDM drawing attention to the impending bank closures in Golspie and Wick. It is simply unacceptable to withdraw these services from customers when they are so vital to communities. I will not let this short-sighted and self-serving decision go unanswered.

A Youth Mobility Scheme would be great for young people, great for small businesses, and a big step towards repairing the relationship with our European neighbours. But the Prime Minister’s ruled it out. So today at #PMQs I challenged him to think again.

Well…blimey! I think this could actually be the point when the Tory party ceases to be a movement contending for government. Lib Dems now have a very serious responsibility and opportunity to fill the gap. This is our moment.

I spoke to the BBC about my ongoing grievances with Lloyds Banking Group regarding their closure of the last remaining bank in Sutherland. Their inadequate and inattentive response to my letter won't keep me quiet!

It’s time to make a change and put communities at the forefront of the renewables revolution because otherwise there will still be households shivering in the shadow of wind turbines, unable to heat their homes.

Great early boost for the #MiddleEastAppeal here in Scotland with £200,000 in support from Scottish Government We are also delighted that there is once again cross party support for the humanitarian efforts to help the most vulnerable in #Gaza #Lebanon and the wider region.

Is this the cost of delay? A9 upgrading is now expected to cost £111m more than originally estimated. You would get less twists and turns in a TV drama. inverness-courier.co.uk/news/cost-of-u…

Brilliant to see two of our new MPs getting stuck in straight away. Thanks to Max Wilkinson MP for his bill proposing solar panels on all new homes, and for Roz Savage for picking up the Climate and Nature Bill for more action on climate change buff.ly/4hojBpE
