I wrote this the day after Biden announced he was running in 2023. This was the pivotal moment, when Democrats over-interpreted their 2022 midterm performance and fooled themselves into believing Biden's bad polling was a mirage. It was not. newsweek.com/bidens-reckles…

New from David Daley in The Guardian: "The structural reform we so desperately need has become harder, as those from both the left and the right who prefer to govern without majorities... recognize it as a threat." theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Perfectly fine to admit some mistakes were made, even to agree with almost everything in the NY Mag article about working class losses in NYC, without concluding we lost bc of 2017-era social media neologisms. C’mon.

Oh c’mon. The story is not about rural food deserts. It explicitly talks about people driving hours to save absurdly small amounts of money on bread as part of an inflation narrative. If they were driving two hours for -all of their groceries- then why didn’t they say that?

Read David Faris on the success of January 6th: “Virtually every person tasked with bringing Trump and his allies to justice for the effort to overturn the 2020 election trusted that some other institutions could get it done.” slate.com/news-and-polit…
