The second flotilla is now in the ‘red zone’ where Israel has previously abducted flotillas and trafficked them onwards to false imprisonment. We’ll do all we can to reach Gaza, but if they stop us it will likely be within 24 hours. Track us here: thousandmadleens.fr/tracker

🇨🇳 China has already dumped nearly half of its US treasuries and is now only the third largest holder of US debt behind Japan and the UK. 📉 When the next bubble bursts, the US is not going to have the massive Chinese industrial cushion and line of credit that it had in 2008.

Breaking: Japan’s long-standing LDP–Komeito coalition has collapsed. Komeito would not back Takaichi as prime minister because they don't think she will do much about the LDP's funding scandals. The breakup ends a 26-year alliance and might cost the LDP a huge number of votes.

As Jeff says, difficult for Komeito to market itself as a clean party when it is in coalition with a party that is so corrupt. Takaichi needs 233 votes to be PM and loses 24 with Komeito departure. Where will the LDP turn? Presumably Ishin no Kai & DPFP.

"The hurdle for Takaichi to become Prime Minister has become high." ANN reports on the possibility that Tamaki Yuichiro could become the next PM of Japan: will the three main opposition parties unite behind him, and deny Takaichi her chance at becoming Japan's first female PM?

My colleagues & I have taken a huge gamble to set up THE NERVE. We’re trying to build a new independent publication from the ground up. Social media is our only distribution for now. Sharing this article in your networks would make a huge difference. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏
