Took part in today's Friends Of Crookston Castle community clean up. We had a great turnout of local neighbours, families & our volunteers… all mucking in together to look after a place that means a lot to us and that improves the Castle for everyone who visits.

Great to meet so many new colleagues from across the museums sector at today’s Museums Association meeting at the The Hunterian. Plenty of thoughtful conversations and a real sense of shared purpose.

Picked the right time to start my new role at MGS. Lovely to end the week with a visit to Montrose Museum for a preview of Perspectives: Collecting the World, funded by Museums Galleries Scotland. It confronts colonial legacies, giving voice to silenced stories and encouraging us to reflect, learn, and imagine a fairer future.

Lovely to swing by Young Scots for Independence stall at #SNP25 with another former National Convener, David McDonald! Lots of us came up through the party’s youth wing, so great seeing many of the next generation today. The tradition of losing voices after conference karaoke still endures! 😂🙌🏻

We had a brilliant time at the Collection Medieval Day! Our stall was busy all day helping visitors design their very own coats of arms, taking inspiration from the incredible art and armour on display in the museum.

A real pleasure to meet with European Movement President Guy Verhofstadt It was one of my final acts to secure his visit to Scotland during my time at European Movement in Scotland to help mark their 35th anniversary this weekend.

David was a source of real encouragement and ideas when I worked at EMiS. His insight and humour had a way of cutting through, bringing clarity and perspective. He’ll be deeply missed by all, including the causes he championed.
