Construction of our new #RapidSchoolBuild high school in Brackenfell is out of the ground, and when completed with have classrooms, a school hall and sports facilities to expand access to education in Cape Town’s northern suburbs.

We are in the very early stages of learner placement for Grade R, 1 and 8 in 2026, and we urge the 21 600 parents who are still double-parked with more than one successful offer to confirm their choices speedily so that the remaining places can be offered to other parents!

Had a great visit this morning to Surrey Primary School in Surrey Estate, to learn more about how the school is improving learning outcomes in Maths and Language!

Excellent visit to another of our Maths and Science schools, Oaklands High School in Lansdowne, to draw on their experience in ways to improve participation and results in these subjects across the Western Cape!

The Rainbow Library at Good Hope Seminary Junior School is another wonderful installation by the Otto Foundation and its partners, providing a creative space for children to read and learn!
