Site visit to Kent Wildlife Trust Heather Corrie Vale (former Woodlands manor golf course) a Wilder Carbon project - one thing that struck me was how the ants nests had come up on the former fairways. Bit of weather but still a nice view from the former 18th tee! #nature #wildlife

Interesting how nearby sites vary on the North Downs - yesterday found quite a few Lace Border at Kemsing, today lots of Chalk Carpet at Trosley (while looking for Scabious Leaf Miner mines - a bit specialist!!) #moths #mothsmatter

Shrill Carder Bumble and Clouded Yellow Butterfly at Cliffe Pools this afternoon - I'd normally recommend this site to see Shrill Carder, but this was the only one I spotted - love to know the Shrill beewalk stats for Cliffe this year. #bees #butterflies #moths #pollinators

The Vestal - a fairly irregular migrant moth species that breeds in southern Europe and North Africa - two seen at Kent Wildlife Trust Darland Banks today, along with a notable 250+ Straw Belle, might be the highest count on a single site for some time. #moths #MothsMatter

Seasons feel like they are rapidly changing, far fewer butterflies, moths and bees on the wing yesterday at Trosley, best find, a couple of mating Treble-bar moths. #moths #bees #Butterflies #pollinators
