Lots of people asking why I have not been readmitted to the Labour Party, especially after Natalie Elphicke has been admitted.
Truth is, despite all the claims made about process, these are decisions made by Keir Starmer.

As we mark the Nakba’s 76th year, 600,000 Palestinians have been forced to flee Rafah in the past 10 days alone.

Settlers are attacking aid conveys with impunity. Our government is refusing to take a stand for peace and justice. We need to keep up the pressure on the streets.🧵

There can be no justification for such horrific vandalism.

Instead, we should celebrate and take inspiration from those who, during the Shoah, risked their lives to save others

That we will need to march again is an indictment against all those who are complicit in letting continue. The tide is turning & they will be judged - Join your Jewish comrades 11.45 May 18 Cavendish Sq W1G 0PG corner Margaret Stree.

Great thread from Na’amod calling out the moral and political failures of the Board of Deputies especially in relation to Palestine/Israel. It has of course been mis-leading the Jewish community and staying close to Tories/right wing interests for much longer than recent times.

Remembering Szmul Zygielbojm suicide as protest on night of 11th/12th May 1943 against the Allies’ failure to aid+support Jews against Nazi extermination, as the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising was crushed. I wrote this piece for Tribune last year: tribunemag.co.uk/2023/05/rememb…

Piece by Jeremy Corbyn on a principled and practical way forward on the issues of migration and refugees that centres their humanity rather than regarding them as problems. So few politicians are willing to do this. I hope others will follow his example.

On Amol Rajan asked Anneliese Dodds why The Labour Party welcomes someone who venerated Boris Johnson, but not someone who shared a stage with Ken Loach.
For clarity, there was no complaint against me. No appeal process. Nothing. The Labour Party has badly lost its way.

Not sure I can confirm this headline.

Re stop the boats -the only “boat” I want to stop seeing is the one with the inane grin that belongs to Oswald Starmer as he brings in another anti-refugee right wing Tory to the party that used to be known as Labour.

I left Labour in 2022 because of their pretence around fighting antisemitism (used factionally to push out many left wing Jews). I’m glad I am not in a Labour Party that has welcomed Natalie Stop Refugees Elphicke. Can’t imagine who Oswald Starmer will welcome next.
