We, as a country (not alone by any means) should be ashamed and embarrassed that we can't implement basic infection control measures. We remain in a pandemic that's claimed ~250K lives acutely, many more in longer term, millions disabled. Winter pressures are avoidable 💔

Her: "<cough> I've dragged myself out of bed so as not to let you down. <cough> I've left all the rest of the <cough> family really ill at home, but don't <cough> worry, I've not touched anything. <cough>" Folks... she's a *critical care nurse*

An increasing number of hospitals are now advocating masking. Too little too late but perhaps finally IPC teams are making decisions independent of the NIPCM.

My GP practice has contacted all its patients - masks now to be worn by patients attending with ANY resp. symptoms. Great to hear, encourages patient responsibility & helps protect staff and patients. Any thoughts? IPC colleagues - is this the consistency advocated by NIPCM?

UK Health Security Agency I know you only just decided on New Year’s Eve that perhaps you should to update your guidance to include common-sense airborne infection prevention measures like masks & ventilation… …but do you think you could include these important words on the visual graphic too? Thanks.

We are not documenting crowding in individual patient notes. Makes it difficult to give context around delayed care for coroner, solicitor etc Do you document crowding in clinical notes? If so what phrases do you use?

We look back at UK Covid-19 Inquiry evidence from Dr Barry Jones⬇️ Whilst some hospitals have re-introduced mask-wearing to help prevent spread of #Covid_19 & other airborne viruses, many healthcare settings are still failing to protect patients & staff. #CovidIsNotOver #LongCovid

I've been looking at the evidence statement submitted to UK Covid-19 Inquiry by Prof. Cath Noakes. I'd highly recommend Andrew Gwynne MP does the same. However, it would make it very clear how disingenuous you have been in the letter written to Tim Farron. Let's look at some examples; 1/🧵

This is rather eye opening. I can confirm, the teams I work with wouldn’t be able to function without migrants who contribute their skills, time and labour - many of them doing so despite being regularly told they’re not welcome here. They are.
