Thanks so much for yesterday’s presentation and participation at #TheGoodSummit Cliona Ni Cheallaigh. Perfectly pitched for the wide ranging audience. Your contribution to the panel discussion was also just right. I’m sure Aidan was proud of us. 🙂

#pandemic resilience needs strong communities and socio-technical #publichealth systems to hone and enact great research and engineering, not unbridled technologies. This assurance needs strong academic health systems with the 3Is in balance: integrity, incisiveness and ingenuity

New study from New Zealand shows that 3/4 of deaths among homeless with no fixed abode were preventable if they would have had access to proper health care. Mean age of death was 45 years.

Saddened to read of the passing of ingrid brindle. I learned a great deal from her about patient advocacy and engagement. Despite her significant health issues she was a redoubtable committee chair and passionate thought leader.

I read Miranda Devine’s superb book “Laptop from Hell” a few months ago. I was sceptical that it would drive any change. Delighted to see that I may have been wrong. If you are looking for a sequel, how about the other Laptop from Hell and its infamous ‘Insurance’ folder?
