#anipoke You're totally right. Mega Voltage has nice moments, but it also carries the same issues of the previous arcs and adds new ones, like bringing back ME out of nowhere and revealing Friede's status too early. It's far from a "bad" arc, but it leaves a lot to be desired.

#ONEPIECE1155 A true journey, indeed. It's honestly astounding how One Piece has been able to evolve its overaching story and worldbuilding, without deviating from a simple core structure. It's definitely worthy of becoming a future model for the shonen genre.

#anipoke This is actually a pretty interesting parallel. The anime might actually create a connection between the two, thus finally explaining what is the origin of the Rakurium. It would be a great way to tie with the games' story, while still following its own plot.

• Top Left (Dragon Ball): surprisingly fitting. • Top Right (JoJo): almost laughable for how bad it looks. • Below Left (Naruto): pretty reminiscing of the original, but at the same time it makes her look evil. • Below Right (My Hero Academia): seems fine... but no, thanks.

I've been reading My Hero Academia from zero. It's been solid story-wise, but also lacklustre in regards of the main cast, which feels plain outside of Izuku, Bakugo and Todoroki. Even the side cast is largely forgettable, both students and Heroes. The Villains are great, though.

#ONEPIECE Koby is the real deal. No special powers, no special lineage, no special god fruit, no special family and no destiny bullshit. Just pure grit, willpower, and hard work. Started at rock bottom and climbed his way up through sheer determination. 🫡

#takopinogenzai Gonna get a lot of hate, but the writing's quality has deteriorated tremendously in the last phase. And on top of that, Shizuka's family situation still brings up many questions. Regardless of what happens, I doubt that the ending will deliver at this point.

Ngl, this looks great. Oda's simple and polished art style fits Pikachu a lot, even if his appearance is slightly different from the anime and Pokémon Adventures.

#Digimon Looks like the director of Digimon Beat Break will be the same as Savers. It does indeed seem like they're going for a brand new target and direction, just like Savers was meant to. I just hope that this time the writing will be more consistent and less hype-based, tho.

#TakopisOriginalSin Takopi's Original Sin is one of the worst anime I have ever seen: for a story that was meant to tackle bad parenting, it wrote the parents arbitrarily instead of exploring their psychology. The ending was also full of holes and didn't provide any resolution.

#anipoke The only legit criticism I see about Goh is the poor portrayment of his goal. Neverthless, he's a complex character that grows a lot throught the series. Anyone should pay more attention, before labeling him as "a selfish collector" or "a living Pokémon GO advertisment".

#anipoke This series is the one that shaped Ash's whole life philosophy. He wouldn't have been able to express some of his greatest thoughts, nor to achieve his biggest feat as a Pokémon Trainer, if Sun&Moon didn't manage to portray his growth from the previous generations.

Davide D'Alterio (@davidealterio) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Yes. It wasn't nearly as good as SM, DP or XY and it fumbled hard at times, but I feel like it was pretty consistent and ended Ash's journey in a satisfying, thematically fitting way.

#anipoke This is an exaggeration. Before the timeskip, Roy was easily the most consistent protagonist next to Dot and was developed very well. As bad as his Mega-Lucario is, it's not enough to instantly label him as "the worst character ever".

Davide D'Alterio (@davidealterio) 's Twitter Profile Photo

#anipoke Gonna be real. As much as I hate Tobias, I'm pretty sure that if Ash battled Cynthia in DP the result would've been equally humiliating. This battle proves that there was just too much difference in strenght and experience.
