With people sharing immigration polling, note that the past 4 years has seen the six decade min and max on this fundamental survey question. In some surveys, mass deportation and path to citizenship both get 55% support when asked back to back

Why are European leaders sacrificing the entire edifice of international law to keep the racist authoritarian leader of a microstate out of prison? Regional war brings mass displacement, inflation, terrorism- how does that benefit ordinary German, French, Polish, British people?

"Just spoke with suspect to be arrested & tried for war crimes & crimes against humanity. I reiterated that Israel has a right to commit aggression. We remain deeply committed to dismantle & mock international law"

Germany has reached the point where journalists at high-brow, centrist magazines are now musing about how international law is a well-intentioned thing but sadly something to be left behind in this brand new world.

While German journalists at mainstream outlets proclaim that the age of international law is over and it's the law of the strongest out there, this is what the German chancellor had to say 😯

My sincere apologies to the hundreds of people over the last FOURTEEN YEARS that have had to listen to me rant about how unbelievably evil Andrew Cuomo is. I'm done. Go in peace.

What will Schumer & Jeffries, Starmer, Macron, Merz, and Ursula van der Leyen say when Israel has starved, murdered, or ethnically cleansed every Palestinian man, woman, and child? Why is the whole system of int'l law being sacrificed to defend a rogue regime of racist fanatics?

Am I reading this correctly? 👀👀👀 18-24 was the single BIGGEST age category in votes? In a Mayoral primary? Followed by 25-29, and then 30-34? That IS a youthquake. Unprecedented.

This is a revolution in the composition of the electorate. Does it reflect Mamdani's strength with immigrant NYers (younger on avg)? Powerful relational organizing among a young field operation? Focus on rent? Any progressive party should be trying to figure out/replicate this.

I held off on posting this chart cause the data looked, and turned out to be, slightly inaccurate. This is the CORRECT version that still shows a huge increase in youth turnout, just not as concentrated among 18-to-24 year olds as NYT had at first. Still a political earthquake!

An 83-year-old priest is arrested for holding a sign saying “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action” in Parliament Square. Absolute madness.
