Working on ICLR rebuttal as both a reviewer and an author, I noticed a growing trend of reviews that lack self-contained focus: Paper X studies A models but doesn’t extend to B architectures, rejected. Paper Y tackles C setup but lacks baselines designed for D problems, rejected.
