We had a great time Cereals Event. Excellent to engage with so many people about #NIAB’s work including agronomy advice, different varieties, weeds and much more! Our soil pit was busy as ever too! See you next year #cereals2021

NIAB has a new CEO! Professor Mario Caccamo, currently NIAB Deputy Director & @NIABEMR MD, will take up his new position in October & aims to strengthen NIAB's role as the 'go-to' place for innovation Congratulations Mario Caccamo niab.com/news-views/new…

As we prepare for harvest you could get an industry paid for bbq or hog roast pretty much every day so to be on trend our AHDB Cereals #strategicfarm open day is next week! An excellent bbq by Rolfes of Walsham with fantastic people to chat with on the farm tour!

Off we go with the Emerging Agritech session here at #REAP2022, chaired by @AndrewTEAMAg . Major League Baseball improvements inspiring agricultural improvements with Cranfield University

Great to see Davey Clarke in person today. Good discussions on next steps of his #PhD research & brilliant to finally see the trials at Morley #Farm tmaf.co.uk. And good excuse to peer into some #soil pits & do a spot of hand texturing 😊

Perfect morning for sledging. Using @AgriEPIdunc soil EC scanner at @Morleyfarms. For CranfieldEnvironment, Niab and British Geological Survey PhD.

£55 to establish a companion crop under updated SFI. Done some interesting work with David White 🇬🇧+🇪🇺 and @Morleyfarms with a S Bean is OSR - agreeing with French data sugesting maybe a small N reduction possible researchgate.net/publication/35…

Come hear about the work at The Barker Boys using yield maps to quantify economic spatial variation and how targeted sampling could help monitor and manage. Also how yield maps and the Morley SAMS data sets from the NEW AHDB SFE can spatially monitor soil C at @Morleyfarms

Tissue sampling on the @Morleyfarms SAMS sites this morning as part of YEN - The Yield Enhancement Network. Also Yara International N testing as part of the AHDB Cereals Strategic Farm East Trials looking at spatial variability in NUE. Multiple N response trials across yield map derived management zones.
