It's #FossilFriday so here are the most recent four fossils on my phone: an iguanodontian dinosaur from the Isle of Wight Oxford University Museum of Natural History, Kosmoceratops (I think!) NHMU, a sacrum of the ankylosaur Gastonia being excavated by Davide Foffa, and an ornithischian jaw from the Morrison

Come by my poster 328 this afternoon to learn about how microfossils can be useful for inferring functional traits!!! 🦎🐊

Now that #2024SVP is over it's time to release the #2025SVP Birmingham logos into the wild. Designed by the brilliant Mark Witton, the primary logo features an iconic local fossil (a rhynchosaur, first discovered in the counties surrounding Birmingham). A short 🧵

Six museum cabinets, generously donated by Yale Peabody Museum with shipping covered by U.S. Embassy Zimbabwe, are on their way from Yale to the Natural History Museum of Zimbabwe. The collection is overflowing with fossils, and this is much-needed capacity building

🦴Check out our new paper describing the internal anatomy of the long-necked tanysaurians, showing that bizarre inner vertebral anatomy is not restricted to dinosaurs and pterosaurs. This is part of the PhD work of Adam Rytel. Watch out for much more! doi.org/10.1093/zoolin…
