Amendments to fed IAA exhibit a cautious approach to correcting constitutional concerns expressed by Supreme Court of Canada. One aspect trends toward abdication: GHGs. While IAA structure unchanged, proposed amndmnts trim process, therefore weaken. Both sides victorious; no one happy #cdnpoli

And we’re back! What a delight and privilege it is to be back in the Yukon w Robert Hamilton teaching this year’s UCalgary Law intensive course on Modern Treaties and Indigenous Self-Government. We’re off to a wonderful start with a great program ahead. 🙏

It was an amazing day in Carcross YT today with UCalgary Law students learning and engaging deeply. Wonderful to get out and about in the community and on the land. A huge thank you to Carcross/Tagish FN for so warmly welcoming our class and sharing perspectives.

Thanks to Ranj Pillai, the Premier of Yukon, for spending an hour with our students today in our Yukon field course. (How cool is this? At UCalgary Law, not only do you get to study Indigenous treaties in the Yukon, but you also get to be taught by Premiers!)

Unparalleled classrooms North of 60. Week two of UCalgary Law Yukon course is underway and nothing short of amazing. A joy to be here with these engaged students and Profs Josh Nichols and Robert Hamilton
