Last night I spent a few hours chasing the moon around #Pittsburgh, and though I capturing some close ups of the moon and PPG Place, I think that I actually prefer this slightly wider angle view that includes the Point as well. The way the clouds were lit up as well was perfect.

A timelapse of the moon rising behind #Pittsburgh last night, composed of 954 images over the span of about an hour. Really cool to see how the moon ducks behind the clouds and all of the boats and barges on the river. High definition version here: youtube.com/watch?v=KheChm…

Another image from last night, this time as the moon rose above #Pittsburgh in a six image panorama. I had to capture a pano because my 70-200 lens was shooting a timelapse, and my 200-600mm lens had too much zoom to capture the entire city. The panorama worked out just fine.

Last night I went out again to capture the moon over #Pittsburgh, when all of a sudden fireworks started from below Acrisure Stadium. I'm still not sure what they were for, but they were in a unique spot, and the West End Bridge was the perfect place to capture them from.

Sometimes my favorite image isn't the one that I set out to capture. Last night my plan was to shoot the moon over the Gulf Tower, but this one of the moon above the Renaissance Hotel and Ft. Duquesne Bridge in #Pittsburgh is my favorite. Just such a cool combination of elements.

Although it's not my favorite shot from last night, this is the image that I went into #Pittsburgh to capture, a view of the moon over the Gulf Tower. I knew it would be a bit too high to capture directly behind the building, but still came out pretty cool.

Been sharing a lot of images from the North Shore of #Pittsburgh lately (and more to come from the moonrise a few days ago) so let's jump to the other side of the city today. This is a view of morning traffic on the 10th Street Bridge from the South Side to downtown.

I realized that I have all kinds of film images I've never shared from this year, so sneaking in a few of the Grand Canyon back in March. There was a crazy snow squall that happened while we were there, creating some amazing contrast across the canyon that looked perfect on film.

Nice little sunrise in #Pittsburgh this morning. The clouds were low above the horizon to the north of the city, and from Mt. Washington they provided the perfect backdrop to the city. This is a 7 image panorama shot with my Fuji X100VI and it was the perfect start to the day.

Some of my favorite black and gold images of #Pittsburgh aren't necessarily of the bridges, but of scenes like this, with a golden sky behind the silhouette of the city. Add in a sunburst through the buildings and you have yourself a nice little scene.

My natural black and gold image from this morning of sunrise in #Pittsburgh got me thinking that I haven't shot a new black and gold (and red) image from the incline in years. This is a view from a few weeks back that worked out perfectly for this edit.

Yesterday I shared the classic view of the Duquesne Incline in #Pittsburgh; today's is a little different. This angle always reminds me of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, and with a perfect sky like that behind it, it's hard to beat this scene.

Just got back from a work trip to Detroit (for my non-photography day job) and was a little took tired for sunrise this morning. So here's a view from a beautiful morning on the West End in #Pittsburgh, with the trees and railing framing the city perfectly.

It was a busy holiday weekend for us, and hopefully things will settle down a bit during this short week. I realized that I never shared a view angle view of the moonrise in #Pittsburgh from a few weeks ago, and this one features the Gateway Clipper in the reflection of the moon.

Even though it was a beautiful morning in #Pittsburgh, there weren't many clouds to make for a colorful sunrise, so here's one from an incredible morning by the Ft. Pitt Bridge. The train below was just an added bonus.

I'm still way behind on sharing some 35mm images from this summer, so here's a few images of the phases of an amazing sunset shot on revolog Kosmos film. The film has these blue lights on it, and it makes for some interesting effects when they are developed.

This morning I headed into #Pittsburgh with just my Fuji X100V, no plan in mind, just walked around the city. Ended up with some pretty cool shots, like this one second handheld image of a car streaking across the Smithfield Street Bridge as it framed the city in the background.

Another frame, also from this morning, just from the other side of #Pittsburgh. As I was walking back to my car I noticed some low color on the horizon and these trees framing the Andy Warhol Bridge. Combination of nature and architecture was really interesting.
