it's nice to hear radiohead's "everything in its right place" on another trailer, but by this point its ubiquity is draining its power, like m83's "outro". not that that's radiohead's fault

a vital wire on my highly jank but highly awesome vester telecaster decided it wasn't having it. fortunately, I can solder to an unbelievably basic degree despite having no understanding what any of this 70s spaghetti means

Plagued with self-doubt over introducing a main character halfway through a novel, then (nearly two decades late) read The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas - in which Shmuel appears almost exactly halfway through. John Boyne, you've helped my horrible book. It's YOUR fault now

My Xmas upload this year pays dubious tribute to two of my inspirations (cheesy but true) - a Dr. Brian May-esque guitar orchestra arrangement of DavidGArnold's Good Omens title theme. Completed and uploaded over a year too late, naturally. Thanks chaps. youtube.com/watch?v=YcnTbK…

My work on The Galilean Suite has now reached these levels of petty detailing. Still, may as well look as good as it can. You never know when one such detail is the reason a submission-deluged director, conductor or librarian decides the entire thing isn't worth their time.

I have always had an irrational dislike for tapping M5 threads. despite enjoying M3, more precise and efficient than M4 and usually strong enough for purpose. M6 is good, M5 is just god's mistake

I've written every day since last March. My stance was that anything was progress, even a single line, but in reality it became 150k words. This week I've achieved almost nothing; 50 words max daily. Coasting on the credit of earlier productivity, but can't let myself stop.

Anyone following me from Colorado? My tone poem for string orchestra "Hiraeth" is being performed CSU Univ Center Arts this Sunday, which is just really cool. I seem to be somewhat representing the British Isles :) music.colostate.edu/events/concert…

This is wonderful. There's a Grammarly ad with a typo in it, and the typo isn't the thing getting fixed BY grammarly. It's still there *after* being rewritten for clarity. You donkeys. #tenative
