A very early morning trip out to Prees heath , Bettesfield and Whixall moss gave me 3 NFY Butterfly . Silver studded blue , Large heath ( 10 days earlier than last year ) & Large skipper taking me to 25/39 species to be seen in Shropshire this year . All irecorded

Another 2 New for year Butterflies today for Shropshire . 2 White admiral seen at Comer woods and 1 Dark green fritillary seen on Titterstone clee hill . Sadly no pics but double figure small pearl bordered fritillary still hanging on up there . Now on 32/39 for the county

Just spent a few hours with the legend that is Mark Weiss taking a look at a few BlackSabbath sights around Brum . The photographer I first aspired to be just half as good as and one of only two photographers to be shooting the show tomorrow . Day well and truly made !
