The domain recommendations via GoDaddy search are awful. In a sample search, the first 20 domains were - (8) terrible hand reg options. (2) user submitted domains. First one was #9. (10) registry premium oddball extensions. Way too much space is being occupied by junk.

Chasing future trends in the domain field can be an expensive lesson. For every one field that pans out, like crypto, many others don't. NamePros is littered with showcase threads of failed trends. The vast majority of the domains that are good now were good 20+ years ago.

I sold the domain BalancePilates.com for $4,900 via @Afternic. Two word .COM are my best performing format. I especially like branding term + keyword. They are great options for typical end users, that don't have a massive budget.

As a domain investor, it's important to be able to cover your renewal fees. I use my average inventory to do that. As long as you can cover renewals, you can carry your portfolio over time as values tend to increase for better domains.

This is regarding a domain I have owned since 2014. It's in my GoDaddy account now. It is not listed in my Afternic account. If it was, it was not priced. Bill said the domain was not in his Afternic account. What path did this "sale" come from? James Iles

This company really believes they own the generic term "Voices". 🤦‍♂️ This is what happens when a sense of entitlement + stupidity meet each other. The complainant also tried to use a GoDaddy appraisal ($1,005) as evidence of bad faith. Nice win. John Berryhill Igor Gabrielan

I am seeing scams getting more and more advanced with the help of AI. The average person falls for some very basic scams now. I don't think they are ready for advanced scams using AI videos, voices, and other manipulative measures.

I have done pretty well with the .US extension over the years. Here are some recent aftermarket buys. Some were at auction. Some were direct buys.

I sold the domain IMS.us via @Afternic. The buyer is a company called Intra Management Solutions. Going from intramanagement.us to IMS.us is a nice domain upgrade.

I am not a big fan of these GoDaddy broker "offers" that have no actual offer attached. My response - "If your client has a serious interest, I would consider a serious offer." 😁

Sold TampaArchitect.com for $1,495 @Afternic. These normal inventory type sales provide steady capital that can be reinvested. As long as you can cover renewals, you can carry your portfolio over time as values tend to increase for the better domains. NameBio

So, a GoDaddy broker contacts a domain owner regarding a domain that is not even listed for sale on Afternic... I will give GoDaddy a chance to do the right thing. It's complete nonsense to charge a 30% fee in this situation.

This is a follow-up from GoDaddy broker regarding the previous "offer". Merely expressing interest in a domain is not an offer. First email. No offer. Follow-up email. No offer. It's not an offer if there is nothing to accept, counter, or reject.

A 2020 TM holder filing a domain dispute for Munchies.com, an obviously generic keyword domain owned by a 1998 registrant... A dispute so meritless there was a RDNH finding without the owner even responding. There should be penalties for this type of UDRP abuse.

Despite Dan.com shutting down last year, I still receive messages via their platform from potential buyers in response to old negotiations. GoDaddy I have no way to respond to these now. That's one reason why it is important to own your leads.
