The first anniversary of GDPR has just passed. To mark it, I investigated the world of personal data, just broadcast on the BBC. Here's me talking to Imperial College researchers analysing light bulbs and plugs pinging ad tech companies and hoovers beaming floor plans to China.

Our investigation into personal data aired on @bbcclick this weekend. One of its most important parts is abut how a wave of Internet-enabled devices are beaming data out of our homes and to servers across the world. Here's a vacuum cleaner, beaming a floor plan to China.
