i have been playing around and experimenting with histograms and quantile sketches a common theme is some kind of logarithmic bucketing, so the sketch can store a wide range of values with reasonable relative precision, e.g. 1%

The Orient Express is in London Victoria again. I've not seen it for ages. It's attached to a Diesel engine sporting the name plaque "Queen's Messenger" along with a Deutsche Bahn plaque.

Someone just robbed Waitrose whilst I was at the till paying for my lunch. The cashier raised his eyebrow at the monitor but couldn't do much There were lots of middle-class cries of "He's stolen the Prosecco" from over by the door.
