Very proud to be a part of the team to develop NGS COVID-19 assay allowing 19200 patient sample at once! I am a bumble bee genome guy but in this extraordinary time, I switched my organism! Huge thanks to Ayaan Hossain Alex Reis and Howard Salis for the wonderful opportunity!

Normalize that your students need not be put through unnecessary hardships and constant criticism, just because you have faced them as a student, and it “worked out for your best”. Academic Chatter™ #phdchat

Our iBLAST tool just got published! iBLAST would make BLAST search economic and produce better results by reusing past computational effort. #BLAST #iBLAST Sarthok R. Rahman #PLOSONE: iBLAST: Incremental BLAST of new sequences via automated e-value correction dx.plos.org/10.1371/journa…

Our new paper with Sajal Dash solves a problem in everyday bioinformatics; no need to rerun the entire BLAST job when db changes! Use iBLAST that searches only on incremental db, recomputes e-values to update results;(1 + δ)/δ times faster than NCBI BLAST! journals.plos.org/plosone/articl…

We trained our foundational "Forge" model on Frontier using hundreds of millions of scientific articles and abstracts. It shows excellent early promises on several scientific tasks, including material property prediction. We debuted the model during SC'23. dl.acm.org/doi/abs/10.114…

We have been exploring how to extract maximum efficiency during large language model training from Frontier. Here, we document our recipes for training large language models with 22 Billion, 175 Billion, and 1 Trillion parameters on Frontier. arxiv.org/abs/2312.12705

Do you use Overleaf from a public or shared computer? Then you should always clear the browser history. Anyone can read/edit your manuscript with the link only. No log-in required. An accidental leak like this shouldn't cause any such untraceable-yet-unwanted consequences. :(
