Perspectives are tricky, but also they are often all we have. Useful to consider them carefully, even or especially if it belongs to someone else. Working to be better about assessing all available information and insights. Not always easy, but useful. And valuable.

Seeking, not yet finding. Desiring to find meaning, to add value even. Hoping for opportunities to be of service to others. The experiences I see as I retool my resume cause me to want to dig deeper and do better and do and be more. Life is pretty awesome.

Spent the morning at Utah Valley University. Stairs. A Foucault pendulum. Exposed pipes and ducts. A hall of flags. So many life and learning applications. Too many to share. Needed the inspiration.

Real Salt Lake awaiting the ref’s decision to resume. Various thoughts last night and today. Hope the goalie is okay. Wish the ref had not messed with momentum after the match resumed. Stoppage time is sorta like extra innings on the fly. More on all of this later.

A snapshot I caught of soccer players awaiting the whistle to resume play reminded me waiting time allows us to account for ourselves, to count our benefits vs. hardships, to appreciate every moment we get. Paraphrasing Maya Angelou: when we know better we need to do better. ✌️❤️

A goalie’s injury at a soccer match made me think abt. well-being & wellness, reminding me that working on my health is a result of having interacted with Charles Cole, III, Ed.D., MPA ᯅ and Mama Toya (see photos) and a pandemic book club. Gratitude needs to play a part in our well-being and wellness.

Can’t blame everything on refs/umps. Except when their lack of whatever kills momentum. They should do better. But, how often do I, we self-sabotage? Overcoming stuff makes a team worth cheering. I believe that about myself & others. We at least owe each other nods of support.

Consider stoppage time in soccer. It would be great to have in real life. We don’t. All we have is the opportunity to choose well how we’ll use the 168 hours we have each week. Clock is ticking.

Sign correction needed. In not supporting this PUBLIC charter school the district is guilty of defunding success for all students entrusted to it. Must be all they’ve got left. Shameful.

This thread. Better than a supercharged large, overpriced coffee for a Monday morning. In seriousness, this is powerful, personal, and honest insight. Don’t read it just with your eyes. Engage your heart, mind, and soul.

Webinar on #AEIChronicAbsenteeism was great stuff. Grateful to Ed Trust, Attendance Works, and AEI for putting so much good stuff into 90 minutes. States need to sign the pledge to drop absenteeism 50% in 5 years; panelists all showed receipts on the do-ability of such a goal.

No real stake as I’m neither a Republican nor a Democrat, but this could be said of too many who apparently have spent too much time in the swamp.

A friend just spent time visiting Chile and brought me some treats. Thanks Lisa! I lived there from August 1983 to July 1985 and loved it. Viva Chile!
