Wilder on: what have you done to address the injury issue “Everyone has a different way of working. There’s not one thing you can nail down, there’s quite a lot of things we need to get right and address. Ultimately we will get to where we want to be.”

Wilder on: Villa “For those young boys watching the reaction of the senior boys, they were embroiled in the game and were part of the fixture. They knew what we were trying to do and the feel of the day. They knew the environment and the feel of the game.”

Wilder on: the bigger names “You want to get it to a situation where it’s self police. When you’re watching and a situation gets sorted by senior players, you know you’re on the right track. It’s important for a club of our standing because we have to bridge the gap somewhere.”

Wilder on: Roberto De Zerbi “I don’t really know him, but he’s done an outstanding job. It’s a great club and the things that everyone has said about him you’ve got to admire, respect and agree with.”

Wilder on: the club “As I’ve said, it’s an extremely passionate football city with a lot of good young players. We need to keep on that journey with our academy to make sure that pathway is there and we keep producing young players and giving them the opportunity to play.”
