In the end, this argument is a distraction. If you object to some people getting paid more, well, object to that. But don't hide behind arguments saying "this would be impossible since they are supported on a grant". Those arguments are bogus .. 5/n

Really glad Needhi is articulating how the research system is structured with tiers of research workers having conflicting interests PI solidarity with researchers is essential to flex power against unis and agencies (srsly) What are PIs doing that also deserve solidarity?
