Rome crushes its all-time temperature record by two degrees--two degrees *Celsius.* That's statistically...crazy. But it shows we're living on a new planet

Latest observations of global temperature change shown as a 'climate spiral' using monthly averages from January 1850 to June 2023. Uses Met Office HadCRUT5 dataset, representing change relative to the 1850-1900 'pre-industrial' era.

Even if CO₂ emissions decreased annually as much as during the pandemic lockdown, we wouldn't achieve our climate targets. While individuals made huge sacrifices, the system remained. This shows that individual action will not solve climate change. We need the system to change.

To those claiming that climate scientists are perpetrating a hoax to get rich off grant money, let me tell you about fossil fuel subsidies…

The evidence has been so clear, for so long. We can’t burn fossil fuels without breaking the climate. I have absolutely no faith in the current government to follow this evidence, but we truly need leaders that will #NoNewOil

As major flooding hits Spain & Greece, a reminder that global CO₂ emissions cause global temperatures to rise, including in the UK. As a direct consequence, due to well-understood physics, the atmosphere is more humid. So, when it rains, it rains more. All seen in observations.
