While Mayor Johnson was telling the press about how a publicly-funded stadium is somehow progressive, his CDOT was holding a community meeting for a project where they plan to bulldoze homes, businesses, and a church for a temporary roadway to build a viaduct on the South Side.

If the Mayor wants to pay 23,000 Chicagoans Union wages to build valuable infrastructure for the city, good news: the CTA’s falling apart and we have a whole bunch of lead water service lines that need replacing.

That’s how you actually build a better, safer, stronger Chicago.
