Low carb is a tool. Carnivore is a tool. Fasting is a tool. High fat, adequate protein is a tool. High protein, low fat is a tool. Keto is a tool. Moderate carb is a tool. All these are tools to find what works for you, depending upon your metabolic health. None of these are

I've been eating 30 eggs/week min. since 2017 now, often up to 60 or even 70. Thanks to all the dietary cholesterol, healthy fats and nutrients in them, I've been able to recover from MS really fast and my health has never been better. My blood lipids and BP are perfect as well.

In one of my all-time favorite studies, the more bacon they fed rats, the less colon cancer they got. A 60% bacon diet offered the most protection against induced colon cancer. Bonus: beef did not increase colon cancer while chicken did. Whoops.

Had thirteen jumbo sized eggs yesterday and eleven today, all in one sitting, since I'm only eating one meal a day during weekends. They're the Nature's Perfect Food and you just can't have too many of them.

1/14 I received a DM earlier this week as follows: “I took 10mg of Statin for 6 weeks in August 2021. After 6 weeks, twitching started, then slowly over the next 2 yrs my muscles have started to waste away until I can't walk or hold things in my hand. I was diagnosed /2

1960: the average man weighs 166 pounds. 2024: the average man weighs 200 pounds… And about 20% of the male population has diabetes by their late 50s. Lesson: You must do everything in your power not be average, because average means being in poor health.

When I was 51 years old and 80+ pounds overweight, I started lifting weights pretty hard. • Muscle mass & strength ⬆️ • BF% ⬇️ • BMI did not change Then, at 53, I adopted a therapeutic carbohydrate reduction (low carb/ketogenic) way of eating, & amped up the resistance

Not taking the COVID vaccine was the best personal healthcare decision of my life, and I am so grateful I avoided the mRNA genetic-based shot. The people I meet who know this generally fall into 3 camps: 1. Those who are happy for me that I’m doing great and realize I never

Intermittent fasting is linked to a 91% increase in heart attacks? Weak epidemiological data. Based on a press release only, no way to check this data. The American Heart Association should not be press-releasing a mere abstract. And a bunch of other arguments summarized well

After 2.6M views, the American Diabetes Association defends itself, claiming carbs are essential. Incorrect. A v. small amount is needed for brain/eye function, but this glucose can be made from protein via gluconeogenesis. The human requirement for carb consumption is zero. ADA, your own

A professor of Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology gives a lesson in basic science to the @amdiabetesassn (ADA): humans do not require carbohydrates. (And, I'd add: for people with diabetes, carbohydrates make the disease worse)

Eating carbs slows down your metabolism While eating fat + protein increase it The findings of a new meta-analysis looking at resting energy expenditure (REE) after weight loss So, low-carb diets work partly bc they literally increase your metabolism while you're losing
