Far too often I think we claim to be looking for advice when really we are just looking for someone to validate what we are already thinking or feeling. Genuine advice comes from seeking wise counsel and going to any length to put that new knowledge to practice.

Do not simply use words to describe your situation, use them to change your situation. Life and death are found in the power of the tongue, so speak blessings today! Declare with faith what isn’t as if it were and watch God’s power and virtue change your situations!

You need to watch truly extraordinary teachers carefully to figure out how they do what they do, but to appreciate the quality of their teaching you need only watch their students

Higher learning in our country is a lot like buying bottled water, both are fairly easy to acquire yet we prefer to overpay someone else to give us what we could’ve gotten on our own.

Demons work like advertisements, they attack us with their lies by making us feel like our lives would be perfect if we had what they were offering. But we must resist them, because what they’re really trying sell is a counterfeit to what God has already blessed us with.

We may not be able to legislate righteousness but that’s no excuse to shy away from modeling it for others.

Time alone will not heal all wounds. However, time does provide space for forgiveness, grace and truth to take root in our hearts so we can be radically transformed from the inside out, which in turn brings healing to our wounds and restoration to our souls.

We are so quick to tell the world how it needs to change (guns, drugs, legislation, etc.), which are all merited, yet so slow to ask how we can be personally transformed to make the world a better place. If we want to change the world we must first be willing to change ourselves.
