Breaking News! Code Yikes! The average global surface temperature for August, 2025, came in at 1.28°C above the 1850-1900 pre-industrial baseline, making it the third hottest August on record (behind 2023 and 2024) and likely the third hottest August in the last 120,000+ years.

And for those who wrote me and said the switch from CO to AL wasn't about politics: Trump just said one of his reasons for moving it to AL was that COLORADO HAS MAIL-IN VOTING!!! Utterly absurd but right in character for Dear Leader.

“Werewolves Of London” - Warren Zevon The song’s creation was spontaneous-sparked during a 1975 jam session after Zevon’s bandmate suggested writing a dance song called “Werewolves of London.” It became a staple of classic rock radio.

If I were the Secretary of Energy, I would simply not make claims that are off by multiple orders of magnitude. Solar + batteries are the future, and no amount of misinformation will change that.

This is funny and sad. Secretary Wright's post is so silly and unsophisticated, and yet Twitter's Community Noters managed to find a way to miss the argument entirely and "rebut" with an even more unsophisticated response. It's just all so tiresome. 😞 But let's break it down🧵

The trajectory from Bill Frist to Bill Cassidy reflects the dark GOP journey on science and health—from the Bush family to the Trump family, from American greatness to self-defeating denialism on everything from vaccines to cancer research. My latest latimes.com/opinion/story/…

Powerful graphic: Chicago just saw its smallest summer murder total since 1965. The city is on track to see one of its lowest murder totals in decades, a trend in play all year that continued through the city's most violent season. Murders are way, way down after a spike. Look:
