This is one of my favorite moments from THE DARK KNIGHT. Hans Zimmer's eerie, creepy score slowly builds the tension, his Joker theme telegraphing his appearance before we even see him. Christopher Nolan, like Alfred Hitchcock before him, is a master at creating suspense.

I always think about this fan made poster (I forgot the artist) and how it should’ve been the real final poster for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

Despite my issues w/ #FinalReckoning, this feels destined to be one of the series’ defining images. Minimalist, primal, Keaton-esque: two primary-colored planes against blue sky, like early cinema distilled. A bookend to De Palma’s train sequence, both rooted in film history.

The movie moment of the year. Audiences cheered, applauded, ran out into the streets, rioted, took over the Universal CityWalk Taco Bell.

Guillermo del Toro's FRANKENSTEIN looks absolutely stunning, with lush cinematography and gorgeous production design. It is predictably going to be one of the most visually resplendent films of the year.
