Chew on this. Old car and current Xfinity, the trailing car can move the leading car with air. Nose down and back up. G7 racing is nose up and back down and trailing car cannot scoop or pack air towards the leading car bumper. We can work on this to allow trailing car to “move
@calnaughtonjr52 None of the above. Could have been same result for 9/11/20 if they had the lead also. I’m advocating for their ability to get to our bumper and move us. Without a complete tearup of this car, I do think it can be done
This is the point we’re after. Get to someone’s bumper and move them. It can be done. Action comes from providing that ability. Some say HP. Some say softer tire. Ability to move the guy ahead of you with air and not the opposite is in play also. Let’s get to work
Not sure why. The frame work of the G7 car and idea provides great racing on some tracks and we want better on others. That’s perfectly ok. I think we can find some ideas to help it on the tracks that need it, and we’ll have a great racing package for a long time to come
Nascar moved quickly for safety after the Talladega wreck we had with Preece. They’ve moved quickly with tire options. I think they’re open to change. Having proper dialogue is healthy to keep it all going for the next changes. I don’t think they’ve been slow
That’s not my point
NG7 platform is here to stay and bear in mind its producing some of the best INT and SSW races the sport has had in awhile. Some RC races also. ST races need help, we’re all on the same page. It can be done
Keep watching, keep supporting, and don’t give up
Fair point. Remember ATL is considered SSW and those races are intense. TAL and DAY I’m much busier with the current style and the strategy presents a different element.
Understood
Of the 4 track types SSW, INT, RC and ST, at worst the NG7 platform produces good races at 50% rate, I’d argue higher
Old car? No one liked the INT races for sure, and some of the other track types weren’t always barn burners either. So 50% ish?
Let’s keep
No need to justify anything
We have the opportunity to speak perspective on something we’re passionate about and can make an impact - because of that race. Taking the opportunity to join the conversation.
Petty used to lap the field
Cale led every lap of the ‘73 Bristol race
Examples could go on
“Back in the good ole days”
We have the car of today and the sport of today, lots of good going our way with fans and exposure. Dialogue to improve it is perfect. Maintain perspective.
This paint scheme is Grrreat 😉
Terry Labonte’s iconic winning ‘03 paint scheme is making a comeback at the very track where he took his final victory lap. 🔥
