Florian Beigel dies, aged 76 architectsjournal.co.uk/news/florian-b… Devastated to hear that Florian Beigel has passed away. A great loss for the arch&education community. Florian introduced me to his architectural thinking while working for him and later as a friend. He will be sorely missed

Very inspiring two days exploring with students at KU Leven ethical dilemmas in action research. Enlightening discussions around positionality, power, instrumentality and conflicts of interest

Great to be involved in temporary urban interventions by KU Leuven University students in Mortsel (Antwerp). We painted poetry on walls, leaves on the road and handed out apples to drivers to reconsider biodiversity in the city. Very inspiring action research debate and practice

We can fight this pandemic only through a change in our life styles, solidarity and hopefully a stronger sense of citizenship. Be kind to each other, be respectful of physical distancing and don’t stock pile. Remember immune system needs fresh fruit and vegs... not toilet paper

Great opening yesterday of the exhibition “Close The Door On Past Dreariness”. Powerful photographs by Damien Wootten on the current homeless crisis in Newcastle. Stories of real people who live close to us yet invisible and accepted as the ‘norm’. At Newcastle Art Centre:

Residents who want to #keepwingrovesafe will be attending Newcastle City Council 's Full Council meeting on Wednesday 6/9/23 to ask why a functioning LTN that's halved the number of cars going through a residential area is being axed. Come along and support them if you can.
