Henri Steiner has died aged 101. He was arrested by French police in August 1942 in France’s so-called “Free Zone” & deported to Auschwitz. It was a privilege to interview him. He taught me the importance of learning local patois / dialect in rural France ladepeche.fr/2024/01/02/car…
